Continuation of the Persecution and Detention of Activists

The Association for the Development of a Human Rights Culture, with continuation objectives, has been promoting citizens’ awareness campaigns for training in the defense of human rights and peaceful marches against bad governance, corruption, persecution, social degradation, homicides, money laundering. money and other rights and guarantees violated by the Angolan government regime. Thus, the latest demonstrations of protest against human rights violations, held on March 14, 2015 and December 16, 2017, caused arbitrary detentions, torture and food deprivation to activists. Consequently, an atmosphere of instability was created, persecution of activists by the Angolan authorities, especially since Cabinda persists in military and political conflicts. Paulo Conde Muedi, participated in the Information and marches that culminated in the detentions of the activists. With the government’s distrust of Cabinda activists, the activist in question is considered one of the mentors of Cabinda’s spirit of independence. At the moment when activist Paulo Conde Muedi lives in insecurity and persecution, for what is not known of his true whereabouts, a situation that becomes worrying within the Association for the Development of the Culture of Human Rights.
