President Mauricio Gimbi and his vice president Andre Bonzela were both arbitrarily detained in Cabinda

Mauricio Gimbi, president of the political movement União dos Cabindenses for Independence (U.C.I) and his Vice President Andre Bonzela were both arbitrarily detained in Cabinda for political reasons

Purely politically motivated reasons led to the arbitrary arrest of President Mauricio Gimbi and his Vice President Andre Bonzela earlier this Sunday morning in the Oil-rich territory, Cabinda at Buco Ngoio. According to our sources in the ground, the Agents of the Angola Intelligence and Security Services were scrutinizing the neighborhood that both President of the U.C.I and his vice president dwell.

ADCDH.org has been establishing contacts with pro bonus Lawyers who have volunteered their services in Cabinda to understand the situation development of this wrongly led detentions by the Angolan regime. The regime of Angola decided to arbitrarily detain the leaders of the U.C.I, the most peaceful political movement in Cabinda that has been reaching out in diplomatic fronts to assure the regime of Angola that the most appropriate and human manner to end the political-military conflict in Cabinda is through engagement to the dialogue to all civil and armed political movements of Cabinda.

The most asked question in Cabinda villages, towns, cities, and neighborhoods is; what day or night, sunny or rainy will the people of Cabinda enjoy the fruits of the land, most importantly the freedom and the right to live as people. So far they are treated as wild animals. it threatens all human rights in that part of the world, a call that is left to the UN human rights council.
